Kazo District Senior Management Team Meets to Review Government Projects
Kazo district senior management team held a meeting led by the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), Hajji Badru Mayanja Majwala and attended by the District Chairperson, Rev. Samuel Mugisha Katugunda.
The meeting was chaired by Kamwesigye Godfrey, the senior agricultural officer, who was appointed by the CAO to lead the session. The CAO noted that it is his practice to occasionally appoint different staff members to chair meetings as a way of building their management and leadership capacity.
During the meeting, CAO Hajji Badru Mayanja Majwala welcomed members of the senior management team and highlighted the key priorities that departments are expected to focus on during the week.
He emphasized the importance of implementing government programs across all sectors, including the Parish Development Model (PDM). Hajji Mayanja also called for cooperation from all stakeholders in strengthening revenue collection efforts in the district.
The LC5 chairperson, Rev. Samuel Mugisha Katugunda, also stressed the need for departments to focus on the successful implementation of development projects. He further highlighted the ongoing construction of the district administration block being undertaken by the UPDF Engineering Brigade. The chairperson said that the district leadership will continue engaging the UPDF Engineering Brigade to ensure the timely completion of the administration block and other ongoing projects.
During the meeting, heads of departments and sector leaders briefed the senior management team on the progress of their respective projects and presented their weekly work plans.
